Between 30 October and 1 November 2019 took place the ‘Peer-review activities and diagnose workshop with participation of stakeholders’ within the ‘Effective involvement of stakeholders in external quality assurance activities’ (ESQA) project.
The workshop was organized by the Ministry of National Education of Romania in collaboration with the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS) and was hosted by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest. The peer-review activities had as objective a thorough analysis of the way in which stakeholders are involved in the external quality assurance activities of three of the partner agencies: National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency – NEEA from Bulgaria, The Danish Accreditation Institution – DAI from Denmark and Agency National Quality Assurance in Education and Research – ANACEC from Moldova.
On the agenda of the stakeholders workshop there were two sessions of interactive “Questions and discussions”. The participants were divided into smaller groups to discuss, with the help of guided questions prepared in advance, on what is Quality of Higher Education, what works, what doesn’t work and what to be done to enhance the contribution of Stakeholders’ involvement in QA; also, the purpose was to identify the strong and weak areas in what concerns the involvement of stakeholders, as part of the diagnose activities. Different categories of stakeholders were invited to participate, as student unions, teaching staff representatives, the Council of Rectors, internal quality assurance responsibles, teachers’ unions, employers, professional and non-governmental associations.
Another peer learning activity and diagnose workshop will take place in Copenhagen, 2-4 december 2019, hosted by the Danish partner DAI.
